12th March - 16th March 2012
This week pre-school have been getting ready for mother’s day. We have been making mother’s day cards with some fun hand printing and supporting the children to write their own names inside. We also made photo frames that included some sticking and gluing, this was a really good activity for developing the children’s creative development and also their hand writing skills.
Pre-school have been getting very active this week in preparation for sports relief, we have made up our own aerobics routine that we will be sharing with the rest of the nursery next week. The children really enjoyed putting the routine together and learning all the new moves, this activity encouraged the children to work as a team and develop both their social and physical skills.
Pre-school have also been getting very messy this week with lots of messy play including shaving foam with lots of hidden surprises inside and some slimy green corn flour. The children really enjoyed exploring all the different textures and this really helps to develop the children’s creative development in exploring and talking about what they could see and feel.
Pre-school have also be making the most of the sunshine this week with lots of fun activities in the garden including parachute games, going on a bear hunt, bouncing around on the bouncy castle and enjoying a picnic tea.
Next week we will be getting very active for sports relief with lots of fun activities and making a start on our holiday display. Pre-school will also start to look at the letter F, including lots of letter F drawings for our letter display board and bringing in some new objects for our interest table.
