This week in the toddler room we have been baking some delicious chocolate hearts and lips to give to all our mummy’s for mother’s day. The children have really enjoyed watching the chocolate melt, then moulding it into the shape, tipping the chocolate into our moulding kits. We then placed then into the fridge to see what happened.
The toddlers have been using their garden lots this week, dancing to all our action songs, on the slide and trampoline. Practicing pour numbers as we bounced. The children have done really well getting themselves ready for the garden. Putting their own shoes, coats, scarfs, hats etc. on. Giving them lots of encouragement, they have become more independent and we will continue to practice this.
The toddlers have been looking closely at the puzzles this week, piecing them together. They particularly enjoyed our peppa pig, upsy daisy and fimbles puzzles. Looking closely at shapes, colours and pictures developing on our problem solving developments.
Next week in the toddler room we will be focusing on our creative development using a range of media and materials.
